Where is North Knoxville

by Tami
(Knoxville)

We are looking to buy a house but we aren't sure where North Knoxville is.

Knoxville Business response: Hi Tami - North Knoxville is just up Broadway from downtown Knoxville. You can get to Broadway by taking the Broadway exit off of I-40 (just past downtown if you're going east; just before downtown if you're going west).

Taking Broadway, you'll drive through Old North Knoxville, which begins around where Central Ave and Broadway intersect. Old North Knoxville has beautiful turn of the century Victorians - some fixer-uppers, some already fully renovated.

Further north up Broadway from there, you'll get into Fountain City, which has many lovely older neighborhoods. Garden Avenue is one of our favorites.

Further north on Broadway still gets you into Halls Crossroads, which has both older and newer neighborhoods.

All of these areas are part of North Knoxville. Good luck!
