West Knoxville Restaurants

A Knoxville Business page about West Knoxville Restaurants has the potential to be really, really long, because West Knoxville proper runs from Western Plaza near UT all the way to Turkey Creek.

As with the rest of this site, this page will focus on my favorite non-super chain, locally-owned, Mom & Pop establishments:

By the Tracks Bistro, 5200 Kingston Pike
BTTB was once elected by Metro Pulse readers as the best restaurant in Knoxville. That's a hard call to make, but it certainly has excellent food & atmosphere.

Chez Guevara, 8025 Kingston Pike
Chez feels a little trendy without going over the top, and they have very good Mexican food. There’s frequently a wait, but you can entertain yourself with a drink from the bar and an inspection of the wall decorations, which focus around the infamous man after whom Chez is named.

Copper Cellar, 7316 Kingston Pike
The Cellar has been around for a long time, and serves good American quisine. It's pricey, and definitely should be on any steak-lover's list of Knoxville restaurants to try.

Naple’s Italian Restaurant, 5500 Kingston Pike
This is a favorite date restaurant of many Knoxvillians because they have good Italian food and little private booths available just for the two of you.

Savelli's, 3055 Sutherland Avenue
Savelli's is a small Italian restaurant in West Knoxville with great food, and a smallish, cozy atmosphere. They've been serving great food for a long time; my favorite dish is their eggplant parmesian.

Soho Café, 4433 Kingston Pike
Soho is a Chinese restaurant offering the usual fare, but with some excellent recipies and ingredients. This West Knoxville restaurant also has a good wine selection, and plays interesting canned music on occasion.

Stir Fry Café, 7240 Kingston Pike
This is a very good Thai restaurant. I like the Spicy Noodles and spring rolls, but most of the dishes I’ve had here are enjoyable. Be prepared: if they say an entrée is spicy, they mean it.

I hope you enjoy these Mom & Pop West Knoxville restaurants. Come back soon -- there are more to come!
