Vols on the Hunt for SEC East

As my friend Chris said to me Saturday evening, it won't be a cakewalk for Tennessee to beat both Kentucky and Vandy. The main concern for many Vol fans being that Fulmer's Vols haven't been consistently good this season.

But the Vols defense looked great against Arkansas! I heard it said that they were mad as hell that everyone was talking about how McFadden & Jones were going to run all over them.

Whatever it was, if the Tennessee defense plays like it did against Arkansas and Ainge keeps on throwing TDs, I think we can win the SEC East.

Furthermore, when the Vols are playing their best, I even think they'd have a decent shot against LSU. But our Volunteers would have to be at their best and absolutely play their hearts out to do it, and probably have some good luck, too.

That, however, is still a few games away.

For now, I think Fulmer and the Vols are looking up, and I'm enjoying the fact that this has been one of the more interesting football seasons in recent memory!
