Tennessee Romance Vacations
Tennessee romance vacations are in every direction from Knoxville: South to Chattanooga, North to Tri-Cities, East to the Great Smoky Mountains and West to Nashville and Memphis.
Starting to the South... Chattanooga is a city with many romantic attractions.Having gotten my graduate degree at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, I can attest to the many wonderful opportunities for showing the one you love a good time in that fair southern city. Consider: Ever seen "See Rock City" painted on the side of a barn? It's in Chattanooga. Ruby Falls The Chattanooga Aquarium is great -- they have amazing exhibits for both fresh and salt-water fish. Tree-lined side walks through downtown with great restaurants (my favorite when I was in grad school was the Pickle Barrel; it isn't exactly romantic, but it's got lots of great character). The Read House by Sheraton is an amazing historic hotel with great old-fashioned service and luxury. Perfect for a romantic get away! There's an Imax Theatre, a baseball stadium, an art district, a walking bridge across the Tennessee River...basically, there are many more attractions there than I can list. But I do have to mention one more romantic attraction:
Chattanooga is a city for train lovers!
I don't know what it is about trains, but there's something very romantic about just being around them, and Chattanooga has great attractions for trains.
The Chattanooga Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum and the world-famous Chattanooga Choo-Choo are both excellent stops, and the Choo-Choo has a unique hotel as well.
I could go on, but you'll get the real deal from
Chattanooga-Charm.com.
The site has a good bit of its own charm, and it's chock full of good information for your Tennessee romance vacation needs. More to come soon!
