After you and your family finish your Thanksgiving feast, why not make up plates of goodies and take them to people who must work on the holiday?

While places like hospitals and big businesses usually have a nice meal for staff who must be on duty for the holidays, think about those who won’t have that treat unless you provide it.

My younger daughter realized several years ago that the one or two people manning your local convenience store aren’t getting the traditional meal.

Many are students or others far from their families and you can be a great light in their day. Remember your own plenty and your nice family and share a little warmth and some dressing and turkey and all the trimmings.

You and your family may be able to identify other people working the holiday who will appreciate your sharing. Show a great big Knoxville heart!
