North Knoxville Restaurants

Welcome to my best of North Knoxville restaurants page. My wife’s family lives in North Knoxville, so we eat here a good bit and I can make some tasty recommendations for you.

As Jack Neely pointed out, somewhere in North Knoxville is where the greatest concentration of people in Knoxville lives. (And I always thought it was somewhere around Cedar Bluff.) Anyway, all those people have got to eat!

So there’s lots of good North Knoxville restaurants, many of which meet KnoxvilleBusiness’ standards for honorable mention. They are:

Litton's Market & Restaurant, 2803 Essary Drive
A well-known local favorite for burgers & fries and big, home-made desserts, Litton’s has been around for a long time. They play up their heritage in a nice way that brings you back to the good old days.

Creamery Park Grille, 114 Hotel Avenue
The Creamery is known for their home-made ice cream and Americana entrees. They’re also located right next to Fountain City park, which is a nice place for the you and the kids to have a romp after dinner.

Leo's Café, 3023 Tazewell Pke
Leo’s has good burgers & fries, and lunch specials.

Louis' Original Drive in Restaurant, 4661 Old Broadway
Louis’ is a true North Knoxville institution. They serve Italian specials and have great onion rings that add an inch to your waist each time you eat them.

Ka href="http://www.myspace.com/timewarptearoom">Time Warp Tea Room,1209 N Central St
The Time Warp has a thing for motorcycles – the last time I was there, there were a couple parked inside – and they have a nice selection of tea and coffee, with sandwiches.

T Ho Vietnamese & Oriental Restaurant, 815 Merchants Drive
T Ho’s serves the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had -- though it’s the only place I’ve eaten Vietnamese food.

Seriously, my wife & I really enjoy T Ho. We both have a thing for the crepe, and the jasmine iced tea is amazingly refreshing on a hot Knoxville summer evening.

I hope you enjoy this selection of North Knoxville restaurants. Maybe I’ll see you at one of them!
