Knoxville Recycling: Refused Reused

Hello Everyone,
I just found this site called www.refusedreused.com, where they take items that people have left out for bulk trash pick-up, recycle the items and then donate the items to a shelter, transitional housing or school.
Refused Reused® challenges groups made up of dozens of community volunteers to use their d.i.y. skills to creatively recycle items that would otherwise be thrown away and use them in a makeover of a local shelter, community center, or school. Our professional designers pass along their knowledge and skills by working alongside the volunteers while reducing, reusing and re-purposing. It is “green” in the truest sense of the word. Refused Reused® gives the discarded a second chance at life!
We have changed the lives of 13 families and 29 children with our first project alone.
Not to mention reducing the waste in our landfills by recycling the items people would have otherwise thrown away.
When we join forces and come together as a community, lives can significantly be changed.
This is our chance to bring a solution to a very big problem.
I thought I would pass it along.
