Liza Zenni, Executive Director of the Arts and Culture Alliance During my Knoxville Business Movers and Shakers interview with Liza Zenni, Executive Director of the Knoxville Arts and Culture Alliance, we discussed marrying passions with skills to form a lasting career, and had an inspiring conversation about the direction of Knoxville's rapidly-growing reputation for arts and culture.

During my Knoxville Movers and Shakers interview with Sam Coulter, Principal of Coulter and Justus -- one of the largest accounting firms in Knoxville -- Mr. Coulter told some fun stories from his business past, and shared some serious insights into setting up your small business to succeed.

Here's my interview with Pete Claussen, President of Gulf and Ohio Railways and the popular 3 Rivers Rambler excursion train, which runs out of Volunteer Landing next to downtown Knoxville.

In this interview, Mr. Claussen offers advice to new entrepreneurs, discusses areas of possible growth in Knoxville, tells a little bit of his own Mom and Pop story, and he gives his opinion on the future of rail transit in East Tennessee.

I got the idea for this Knoxville Movers and Shakers page in April of 2006 when I had the opportunity to interview our own Congressman John J. “Jimmy” Duncan about Mom and Pop in Knoxville and his opinions on our best opportunities for business and growth.

Congressman John J It's titled "A Conversation with Congressman Duncan on Mom and Pop and East Tennessee's Prospects for Prosperity."

I know! It's a mouthful; I wanted to have a big title for my first big interview! I hope you enjoy it.

Please do come back to read my new interviews as I have the opportunity to offer them to you. If you have any suggestions for who should be interviewed, and on what subjects, I would be happy to hear from you. Just use my contact form to give me your suggestions.

In the mean time, may you do all the moving and shaking necessary for your own Knoxville Business to flourish!
