Knoxville HIFI

by Lori Moradi

A band called Knoxville HIFI is becoming increasingly popular on my space. With influences like the GooGoo Dolls and Blink 182, they have a very up tempo, kind of punchy beat.

There is a promise of more to come from the Indie rock group. Initially, they sounded like another boy punk band, but clearly there is talent there.

Currently on their my space page, there are two songs, (music written by Tyler Stooksbury) available to download or just listen to: "I hope (original)" and "Understand".

Both have very catchy and original lyrics. “Understand” seems to be singing a message; "..be honest with yourself, there is so much left to live for, understand". It is a good message for the teen & tween crowd, who are normally going through times of questioning and well, teen angst. The song carries a positive message. It will be interesting to watch for further updates, to see how their music develops, and how far they can take it.

Check them out on MySpace.com/dancingundercover.
