There are some great mom and pop Italian restaurants in Knoxville - places where the red wine flows like the Tennessee River, and every thing that hits your plate comes from somebody's grandmother who lived in the old country.

And if that ain't your style, there are plenty of the well-known chains for folks who want to know what they're getting.

I have the feeling you might be a little more adventurous, so I've selected a few of the non-chain establishments to recommend to you. All of them have good food and unique atmospheres, and are reasonably priced for a nice meal out in Knoxville.
