Information on Knoxville's Art Market Gallery

The Art Market Gallery is located on 422 South Gay St. Knoxville, TN 37902, located in the Warehouse District between the Mast General Store and the Downtown Grille and Brewery. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 11am to 6pm and on Sunday 1pm to 5pm.

The Art Market Gallery features art from traditional to contemporary. All artwork sold by The Art Market Gallery is copyrighted. This Gallery has artwork of all sorts and sizes consisting of paintings in watercolor, oil, pastel, mixed media, and acrylic. There are drawings, glass, photographs, sculptures, wood cuts and woodworking, glass beads, intaglio, lamp work, collages, jewelry, weaving and fabrics, basketry, and ceramics.

The Art Market was established in 1982 for the World’s Fair. The Gallery prides itself on it’s 60 plus artists who exhibit their art and are part owners of this gallery.

Another fun topic on this gallery is that on the first Friday of each month The Art Market Gallery commends featured artists and special exhibits. The gallery provides free food and wine and extends its hours for this special reception.

The Art Market Gallery also has two membership juries per year. I found this gallery to be very unique and it seems like there will always be something new to discover here.
