Hardin Business Park Gets Rolling

Knoxville business and government officials celebrated the launch of a new Innovation Valley business park at Hardin Valley yesterday.

Situated on 95 acres, Hardin business park is centrally located off of I-140, which runs between Oak Ridge National Laboratory and McGhee-Tyson Airport.

The business park has 13 development-ready sites, which Knox County officials say are being investigated by several as-yet unnamed top technology and R&D corporations.

Word is, they're not going to allow just anyone to develop the 13 sites; prospective companies must be able to prove the ability to bring above-average R&D and technology jobs to the region, in addition to being willing to invest in the surrounding Innovation Valley area.
