Knoxville fine and graphic artist Amy Lou Campbell shared with me some exciting holiday news for Knoxville art lovers:

"The Handmade Holiday trunk show is combining forces with Yee-Haw to bring back the handmade Art for the People Holiday Show. It'll be over 3 weekends on the 5th floor above the Downtown Grill & Brewery. The show will run Thursday through Sunday each week, hours are being arranged.

"Handmade Holiday will open on November 29th, the Thursday after Thanksgiving."

Amy Campbell is one of the artists who will be featured at the event.

Whether they know it or not, folks see her work around town all the time; Campbell created the WDVX logo that you see on the front of cars driven by Knoxvillians with fine taste in music.

Amy Lou has also done popular work through Yee-Haw Industries, has had numerous local shows, and is an in-demand artist for hire (she also was kind enough to design the posters for the Knoxville Video Contest).

Art presented by Amy Lou Campbell will include:

-bottle cap jewelry, key chains and such with funny sayings and cowl-girl themes.

-Smashed can portraits of musical stars, skoal, snuff and can lid art of famous Bluegrass musicians, and Knoxville legends such as Dolly, Cas, David West of Ciderville Music store, and Marshall Andy.

-Plyboard portraits of Knoxville legends, restauranteurs, and country/bluegrass music stars of Knoxville relation.

Knoxville celebrities portrayed by Campbell include Hector Qirko, Terry Hill, R.B. Morris, and many more!!!

Handmade Holiday will have more artists' work than you can shake a stick at!!!!

Come on down - Amy Lou says it will be the art event of the year!
