Fabtron: Locally-Made Saddles and Horse Tack

Fabtron is an old-fashioned, family-owned manufacturer of custom saddles and horse tack just outside of Knoxville in Maryville, TN.

Fabtron was founded in 1970 by Stan Headrick, employs 45 people, and makes everything from beautiful custom saddles to buggy whips, leads, cinches, bridles...and even some horse snacks and a little yard art.

Headrick started out manufacturing only buggy whips, and did so well with the production of sales of them that he began expanding into other related products.

When Fabtron moved into saddle making, Headrick looked for a niche and found that there wasn't anyone who was making good saddles made just for women. He hired a an expert to help him create a saddle that would be light, well-fit to a woman's body, and well-fit for a horse's back at the same time.

The result has been a very successful line for Fabtron.

Knoxville-area horse lovers, riders and enthusiasts should definitely take notice of this great Mom and Pop manufacturer!
