I moved to Knoxville 8 years ago. Moving from a small town in Mississippi to Knoxville was like coming back home, except a much, much bigger home. Inbetween Cleveland, Ms (where I'm from) and Knoxville, I was an officer in the U.S. Navy. I saw many wonderful sites, places, people and things but nothing really inspired that artistic side of me that had laid dormant since my first year in college. Until I met a Knoxville girl, who convinced me to move here to live. We were married in 2002. Knoxville's small town atmosphere but big city sites and places sparked the creative flame again that I thought was lost. Various internet art sites and visiting the Knoxville Museum fanned the flame to an inferno. So now I draw at least one finished drawing a week, whatever inspires me that day. I use a variety of media: graphite and colored pencils, charcoal, pen, and chalk.
This site is a really great place showcasing really great artists from our area that you may never see.
