Burned All My Orange Vol T Shirts

I have burned all of my Vol football orange shirts. Now before you get really angry with me, permit me to explain.

I have been a college football fan longer than most of you have been on this planet. And after all these years of observing college football, I think I know something about the game.

I do not get all that angry when the Vols loose a football game...but I get ticked on HOW they lost the game.

It makes no sense to continually go through the middle when every fan in the stadium knows that's exactly the play that Fulmer has called and the opposition of course knows it, loaded in the middle ready and waiting...that play is a loss usually of at least three yards, (often much more).

So why in the blazes does Fulmer continuously call that play? I think this is an absolutely fair question.

Then too, there is that much used Vol play where the quarterback throws a pass to a receiver running to the left sideline still behind the line of scrimmage. It's extremely rare that this play ever works, usually resulting in at least a four or five yard loss. The percentage of the Vols using the play is at least 99% failure.

Is Fulmer just too stupid to realize that this play just doesn't work?

Finally... there is a great difference in playing college football trying not to loose and in playing to win. Fulmer has indicated he apparently does not know this difference. Perhaps it's time the Vols need a coach that does.
