Be a Bad Elf! See "The Santaland Diaries" at Black Box Theater

by Katie Kinder

In this delightfully dark holiday comedy, the audience travels with one man through the horrors and hysterics of taking on a job as an elf in Macy’s Santaland.

Author David Sedaris is a widely acclaimed satirist, a frequent guest on various National Public Radio programs, and is known internationally for his cutting wit.

Jim Richardson, a true credit to the caliber of the local theater community, delivers this script in quite an enthralling manner, weaving a bit of amusingly irritated Christmas spirit into the already brilliantly written script.

You had better leave the kids at home for this one, because there is some choice language and adult subject matter. Take my word for it though - this will be worth finding a babysitter for.

Runs December 13-22, Wednesday-Saturday nights. General admission is $15. Matinee on Saturday & Sunday at 2:00PM, $10.

Tickets are already selling out to some shows, so you should order yours ahead of time to be sure you get in - you don't want to miss this! Order tickets on the web (www.knoxtix.com) or by phone at (865)523-7521.
